Registration is the act of turning a novice into a person in PSYC terminology, usually by assigning a password.

See wiki for registration of an account on about.psyc.eu.

PSYC is not for nerds. Just because we didn't have graphical clients so far, and thus had to confront everyone with slash commands, doesn't mean we want to keep it that way.

The concept of uniforms isn't trivial for everyone. Instead of presenting a do-everything form to newbies I thought it might be easier and more windowsy to take them by the hand:

Client registration

For a client to register, you need to link to the server first, using the account nick to be registered, but without providing authentication. Then you send a _request_do_register providing the new _password. You will receive a confirmation. Next time you connect to this identity you will need to provide authentication at linking time.
